Heard learned counsel for the applicant and the learned AGA.
The only prayer advanced on this application is for expedition of the trial numbered as Case No. 3485 of 2016.
A perusal of the ordersheet reveals that the charge sheet in the matter was submitted in Court in 2013 and since then the matter is pending. The ordersheet further reveals that the recordal of statements of PW 2 is under progress.
Accordingly and without going into the merits or otherwise of the case, this application shall stand disposed of with a direction to the concerned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate to proceed with the same with expedition and endeavour to dispose it of preferably within a period of one year from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order subject of course to its roster and the pendency of earlier matters.
