This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner with the prayer to quash the FIR dated 15.5.2017 which has been registered as Case Crime No.699 of 2017, under Sections 498A, 323 I.P.C. and 3/4 D.P. Act, Police Station- Kavi Nagar, District Ghaziabad.
From a perusal of the record it appears that the matter being matrimonial in nature, was refereed to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court vide order dated 31.7.2017. The report of the Mediation and Conciliation Centre dated 12.9.2017 is on record, from which it is evident that the petitioner has not complied with the order dated 31.7.2017 by which he was required to deposit Rs.20,000/- towards the Mediation and Conciliation Centre for the mediation process, hence,the mediation has failed.
The present writ petition lacks merit and is, accordingly, dismissed.
Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
