The petitioner, which is a minority institution, has filed the instant petition seeking a mandamus commanding the respondent University to declare result of 37 students of B.Ed. course of academic year 2013-14. According to the petitioner, the result of 37 students, who were admitted under the minority quota, has not been declared so far. He points out that all the admissions were made before 15.10.2013, the date notified by the University by letter dated 31.1.2013.
Sri Vivek Verma, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent University states that the last date prescribed for admission by the Supreme Court was 16.9.2013. He submitted that the University would examine the claim of the petitioner institution and would take decision in the matter within such time as may be directed by this Court.
Accordingly, without expressing any opinion on merits, the instant writ petition is disposed of with direction to respondent no.4 to pass a speaking order on the claim of the petitioner in respect of 37 students of B.Ed. course of academic year 2013- 14 within a period of eight weeks from the date of production of a certified copy of this order alongwith a fresh representation.
