The petitioner, who is a contractor, is before this Court, contending that despite his repeated representations, the authorities had not settled the entire bills for the works done by him to the third respondent Panchayat and hence, prayed for appropriate orders.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would be suffice, if the representation of the petitioner dated 09.04.2012 is disposed of by the respondents, within a stipulated time period, in the manner known to law.
4. It is seen that the allegation levelled by the petitioner is with regard to the work order, which is of the year 2011. It is unfortunate, if the amount due to the petitioner is not settled till date, since he had completed the works to the fullest satisfaction of the respondents in the year 2012 itself.
5. Under such circumstances and also considering the limited scope of the relief sought for, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 09.04.2017 and pass appropriate orders, if not passed already, on its own merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
