O R D E R Learned Additional Government Advocate accepts notice for the respondents.
2. The petitioner has sought for a writ of mandamus directing to the respondents to consider the representation dated 09.10.2019 at Annexure-E to the writ petition within a reasonable time.
3. The petitioner contends that he is the holder of stage carriage permit No.12/02-03 which was valid up to 11.06.2017 operating on the route Mysore to Bangalore and back. It is submitted that the petitioner has filed an application for renewal of permit within 15 days prior to the expiry of the permit and request was made to consider the said application. However, the respondent-Authorities have not responded to. Hence, this writ petition.
4. In the circumstances as aforesaid, it was obligatory on the part of the respondent-Authorities to consider the application of the petitioner in accordance with law and take a decision within a reasonable time. That exercise having not been done, this Court directs the respondent No.1 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 09.10.2019 at Annexure-E and take a decision in accordance with law in an expedite manner in any event not later than twelve weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order.
Writ petition stands disposed of in terms of the above.
