This writ petition is filed seeking a declaration that the proceedings of the 3rd respondent dated 16.02.2010 awarding the contract in favour of the 4th respondent for hiring services of sanitation, cleaning of toilets and floor areas at Mother and Child Hospital is arbitrary and illegal.
Though various contentions have been raised by the petitioner assailing the impugned order, I am not inclined to express any opinion on merits since as could be seen from the impugned order itself, the period of contract awarded in favour of the 4th respondent was only three months or until the commencement of proposed centralized contract whichever is earlier.
Since the period of contract is only for a period of three months, which expired long back, no adjudication on merits is warranted and accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
