Heard learned counsel for the applicant.
By the instant petition, petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents for recounting of the vote/valet paper of the election paper of the Village Pradhan of Village Daluhera @ Dhilora, Block Jani Khurd, District Meerut and declare the result.
Learned Standing Counsel, at the outset, submits that the petition is not maintainable. Petitioner has an alternative remedy of filing election petition under section 12-C of the U.P. Panchayat Raj Act, 1947.
In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of as withdrawn with liberty to the petitioner to take alternative remedy, in accordance with law.
