Following orders were passed in the matter on 19.7.2018:-
"Contention of the petitioner is that the petitioner attained the age of superannuation on 31.5.2018, and the authorities after his farewell, dropped the petitioner at his residence, where after, the order of suspension has been passed against him. Submission is that the allegations are otherwise unfounded.
Learned Standing Counsel may obtain instructions in the matter. Post as fresh on 26.7.2018."
Learned Standing Counsel has obtained instructions, according to which, a video had gone viral on social media showing the petitioner to be receiving bribe for certain official function. Such incident happened while petitioner was in service. Disciplinary proceedings therefore have been initiated and a charge sheet has been served upon the petitioner. No case for interference with the order of suspension is made out.
In the facts and circumstances, this writ petition stands disposed of with a direction upon the authority concerned to conclude the enquiry, within a period of three months from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order, provided petitioner cooperates in it.
