Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel for respondents no.1 to 4 & 6 and Mohd. Shere Ali, learned counsel for respondent no.5.
Notice need not issue to the seventh respondents in view of the order proposed to be passed.
The petitioner was working as Assistant Teacher in Janjati Shiksha Niketan, Taraini, Post Sekhuwani, District Maharajganj since 25.08.1991. Thereafter, he was confirmed in March, 1992.
Grievance of the petitioner is that arrears of salary due has not been paid.
Petitioner by the instant writ petition, inter alia, seeks the following relief :
"(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to make payment of the arrears of salary since March, 1992 to September, 2017 and entire service dues of the petitioner with admissible interest within specified period."
Learned standing counsel would submit that the fourth respondent-District Social Welfare Officer, Maharajganj, shall pass appropriate order expeditiously.
In regard thereto, writ petition, on consent, stands disposed of directing the fourth respondent-District Social Welfare Officer, Maharajganj, to consider and decide the claim of the petitioner by a reasoned and speaking order in accordance with law expeditiously, preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of filing of copy of this order.
It is made clear that the Court has not considered the claim and contention of the petitioner on merits.
