JUDGMENT / ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking a writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to assign Survey Nos.102/2 and 102/3, Poovaaloor Village, Lalgudi Taluk, Trichy District, in favour of the petitioner, based on his representation dated 10.08.2010.
2.Heard both sides.
3.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is the owner of lands admeasuring 1200 square metres comprised in Survey Nos.98/2, 99/3, 99/4, 99/5, 99/6, 99/ and 99/8b and a river namely 'Panguni' is flowing adjacent to the lands owned by his mill and now, the river is flowing in the patta lands of the mill. He made a representation dated 10.08.2010, requesting the Government to take the above said lands and assign Survey Nos.102/2 and 102/3 in favour of him, which are nearer to his mill and after inspection, the fifth respondent also submitted a No Objection Certificate. While so, the respondents, demolished a portion of his building and the sixth respondent also disconnected the electricity service connection. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court with the aforesaid prayer.
4.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 5 would submit that the representation of the petitioner had already been considered and the fifth respondent also issued No Objection Certificate.
5.Since the petitioner made a representation to the first respondent, seeking exchange of lands, necessarily an administrative order is to be passed on the same. Therefore, this Court, without going into the merits of the petitioner's claim, directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 10.08.2010, and pass appropriate orders on its own merit and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.The writ petition is disposed of as above. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
