JUDGMENT / ORDER

The prayer in this writ petition is for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 05.10.2015 seeking notional promotion and retirement benefits, in the light of G.O.Ms.No.844, Home Department, dated 03.06.1997 and G.O.Ms.No.15, Home Department, dated 07.01.2010.
2.Having regard to the limited relief sought for, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the 1st respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 05.10.2015, seeking notional promotion and retirement benefits, in the light of G.O.Ms.No.844, Home Department, dated 03.06.1997 and G.O.Ms.No.15, Home Department, dated 07.01.2010, and pass orders in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of being heard to the petitioner, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. While passing orders, delay in making representation can also be considered.
With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
