Respondent Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's application dated 22.04.2017 seeking for transfer of the patta in the name of the petitioner.

2. The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider his application dated 22.04.2017 seeking for transfer of the patta in his name.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in spite of the petitioner's application dated 22.04.2017, the respondent has not passed any order so far.
4. Mr.S.N.Parthasarathy learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's application dated 22.04.2017 and pass orders, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks.
5. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 22.04.2017 and pass orders, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
