The petitioner alleges that on 31.10.2002 the Executive of the Nagar Nigam, Gorakhpur, passed a resolution for letting a small piece of land measuring 9.6551 sq.meter x 5.1 sq. meter adjacent to the kawadah pump house to the petitioner for the purpose of development on a premium of Rs.1,01,000/- and a monthly rent of Rs.1200/- but till date no letter of allotment has been issued despite the fact that the aforesaid resolution has been approved by the Joint Secretary, Nagar Vikas, Lucknow, on 01.04.2015.
The petitioner in this regard has submitted a letter of request/representation to the Nagar Ayukt, Nagar Nigam, Gorakhpur on 20.2.2019.
Since the matter requires verification of the facts as stated above, we dispose of the writ petition with the direction to the Nagar Ayukt, Nagar Nigam, Gorakhpur, to consider and decide the aforesaid representation of the petitioner in accordance with law most expeditiously, if possible within two months.
The writ petition is disposed of.
