Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for respondent no.1 to 5.
Only prayer made by the learned counsel for the petition in the present petition is to issue a mandamus commanding the respondent no.5 namely Sub Divisional Officer, Sadar, District Fatehpur to decide the Election Petition No.12-T201702254301551 of 2016 (Shankar Lal Vs. Suresh & others) filed by the petitioner in a time bound manner.

Be that as it may without entering into the merits of the claim of the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of with the direction to respondent no.5 namely Sub Divisional Officer, Sadar, District Fatehpur to decide the Election Petition No.12-T201702254301551 of 2016 (Shankar Lal Vs. Suresh & others) filed by the petitioner after giving due opportunity of hearing to all concerned. An expeditious decision be taken preferably within a period of six months from the date of submission of certified copy of this order.
Reference may be made to the judgement of this Court in the case of Mrs. Anita Devi Vs. Prescribed Authority, Panchayat Raj & others, 2016 (6) ADJ 27 DB.
With the above observations and directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
