Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel.
This petition has alleged that although the petitioner has retired on 30 June 2005, his post retiral benefits have not been released till date.
Learned Standing Counsel has placed on the record instructions in which it is disclosed that the petitioner has failed to furnish his original service book and other relevant records which are in his possession and are necessary for the purpose of computation of retiral benefits. He states that in case all required information and documents are produced before the second respondent, the same shall be duly examined and appropriate orders passed in respect of the claim of the petitioner.
Accordingly this petition shall stand disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to present all necessary documentations including the original records in his possession before the second respondent within a period of two weeks from today. The second respondent upon scrutiny shall also apprise the petitioner of remaining formalities which may be required for the purposes of computation and disbursal of retiral benefits. Subject to the petitioner completing all such formalities, the second respondent shall endeavour to dispose of the claim with expedition and preferably within two months from the date of receipt of his representation.
