The petitioners who are five in number claim to be working on the post of Tax Collector in Nagar Palika Parishad, Basti.
Submission is that due salary for the post of Tax Collector was not being accorded to the petitioners pursuant to the Government Order dated 30.12.1981, in as much as, in other districts, the persons holding post of Tax Collector in Nagar Palika Parishad are getting revised salary in the light of the said Government Order.
Submission is that a representation dated 27.1.2016 was submitted by the petitioners to the Executive Officer Nagar Palika Parishad Basti which remains pending till date though the legal opinion has been sought on the matter.
Be that as it may, having noticed the claim of the petitioners as pending consideration before respondent no.7, Executive Officer, Nagar Palika Parishad, it is provided that he shall take an expeditious decision in accordance with law preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of submission of certified copy of this order under due intimation of the petitioners.
The writ petition is disposed of.
