From a perusal of the record it reveals that petitioners were married to each other on 10.11.2012. However, since then they have not in any manner been disturbed by their family members. If now the petitioners are being threatened by their family members then they may approach the S.S.P. Mathura for protection.
In Supreme Court decisions namely Lata Singh Vs. State of U.P. 2006 Cr.L.J. 3312, Bhagwan Das Vs. State (NCT of Delhi), (2011) 6 SCC 396 and 2018 (16) SCC 602 (Nandakumar and another Vs. State of Kerala and others), direction to the police of the country was issued therein to give protection to such individuals who were either living together or were married as per their wishes.
Under such circumstances, it is directed that in case the petitioners approach the S.S.P. Mathura with regard to their protection, the same shall be provided to them.
Accordingly this petition is disposed of.
