The issue involved in this petition for writ is no more res integra in view of the order dated 31.05.2018 passed by a coordinate Bench of this Court in Writ-A No. 13309 of 2018 (Gauri Shankar Prasad Versus Registrar General, High Court of Judicature at Allahabad and another).
In the case aforesaid, a challenge to the constitutional validity of Rule 8(1) as well as Rule 12 of the Uttar Pradesh Higher Judicial Services Rules, 1975 was given. Validity of the provisions aforesaid was affirmed by this Court in Suraj Bali Singh and others Versus Registrar General, High Court of Judicature at Allahabad (Writ-A No. 20708 of 2012, decided on 05.08.2017) and in Sanjay Agrawal and others Versus State of Uttar Pradesh and others reported in 2007 (6) ADJ 272 (DB).
In view of whatever stated above, this petition for writ is dismissed.
