Following orders were passed by this Court on 8.12.2021:-
"Petitioner claims to be a major and has approached this Court with the grievance that she is being compelled to marry an aged person against her wishes. According to petitioner she is living with her friend and her wishes are not being honoured. Allegation is also made against the local police of acting under the influence of her mother.
Before proceeding further, it would be appropriate to call upon learned Standing Counsel to obtain instructions from the office of respondent no.2, by the next date fixed.
Put up as fresh, once again, on 20.12.2021."
Learned Standing Counsel has obtained instructions. It is stated that dispute raised herein by the petitioner would be got examined by the second respondent after awarding an opportunity of hearing to respondent no. 4.
In view of the stand so taken, we dispose off this petition with a direction upon the second respondent to take necessary action after getting the facts verified, as would be warranted in law.
