Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents.
This writ petition has been filed seeking the following among other relief:-
"i-. issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing to Consolidation officer Sagari District Azamgarh (Respondent No. 1) t o expeditious disposal of pending before him under proceeding section 9A (2) of Uttar Pradesh Consolidation of Holding Act 1953 in case no. 76/86 (Mahtavi vs. Manraj) before consolidation officer Sagari District Azamgarh, within a stipulate period as fixed by this Hon'ble Court."
It is stated by the counsel for the petitioner that an objection under Section 9-A (2) of the UP Consolidation of Holdings Act is pending consideration since the year 2005 consequent to an order of remand passed by the Settlement Officer Consolidation in the year 2004. The petitioner is opposite party in this objection.
Under the circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of directing to the respondent No. 1, Consolidation Officer, Sagari, Azamgarh to dispose of the objection after hearing the parties as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of four month from the date of a certified copy of this order is filed before him.
