JUDGMENT / ORDER

Respondents Prayer: The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to give old age pension to the petitioner under the Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme (IGNOAPS), based on the application dated 05.10.2010 given by the petitioner to the 2nd respondent, without any further delay.

O R D E R
The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition to direct the 1st respondent to give old age pension to the petitioner under the Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme (IGNOAPS), based on the application dated 05.10.2010 given by the petitioner to the 2nd respondent, without any further delay.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that it is suffice to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 31.10.2013, within a reasonable time that may be fixed by this Court.
3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has submitted that if the said representation is pending, the first respondent will consider the representation, on merits and in accordance with law.
4. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for both sides, this Court is inclined to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 31.10.2013 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to appear before the first respondent with a copy of the said representation, along with the copy of this order.
5. With the above observations and directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
