IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT MADRAS DATED 04.09.2017 CORAM THE HON'BLE Mr.JUSTICE A.SELVAM and THE HON'BLE Mr.JUSTICE P.KALAIYARASAN H.C.P.No.599 of 2017 Petitioner Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS, to direct the respondents 1 and 2 herein to secure the detenu viz., Raj, aged 19 years, S/o.Selvam, from the illegal custody of the 3rd respondent and produce him before this Hon'ble Court and set him at liberty.
For Petitioner : Mr.M.Venugopal For R1 and R2 : Mr.V.M.R.Rajentren, Additional Public Prosecutor O R D E R [Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to trace out and produce the detenue by name, Raj, aged 19 years, son of the petitioner.
2. The petitioner is present and she has been identified by her counsel.
3. The 2nd respondent viz, The Inspector of Police, Vellimedupettai Police Station, Villupuram District has produced the detenu and he has been identified by the petitioner/his mother.
4. Considering the aforesaid factual circumstances, the relief sought in the present petition has become infructuous.
5. In fine, this petition is dismissed as infructuous.
