THIS CRIMINAL PETITION COMING ON FOR ORDERS THIS DAY, THE COURT MADE THE FOLLOWING:
ORDER Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned High Court Government Pleader for the respondent - State. Perused the records.
2. The brief facts of the case as per the entire charge sheet papers are that on 14.07.2013, accused person has abducted the victim girl, aged about 15 years on his motorcycle and took her to Eucalyptus grove near Malur and he threatened her with dire consequence and thereafter against her will he committed rape on her and snatched her ear studs etc. and thereafter he took her on his motorcycle and left her. Further, it is alleged that accused has actually pledged those articles and taken money for his personal gain. In this context, police have registered a case and in fact investigated the matter and filed charge sheet.
3. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner at the time arguments that trial has already begun and the evidence has already been recorded by the trial Court.
4. Under the above said circumstances, it is just and necessary to direct the trial Court to expedite the trial and dispose of the case as expeditiously as possible.
5. Hence, the following:
ORDER The Petition is dismissed with a direction to the trial Court to expedite the trial and dispose of the case as expeditiously as possible or within six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, whichever is earlier.
