Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents.
The writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:-
"1- Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus direction/commanding the respondent No. 1 to decide the case No. T201815060402774 u/s 116 U.P. Revenue Code-2006 (Ramesh vs. Baliram) expeditiously."
The petitioner seeks directions for expeditious disposal of his suit for partition filed in the year 2018. It has been stated that in July, 2018, the report of the Lekhpal as regards the proposed lots had been summoned, but has not been furnished till date.
Under the circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no. 1 to decide the suit as expeditiously as possible.
However it shall be ensured that matters of a similar nature which have remained pending for a longer period shall necessarily be given precedence.
