The prayer made in the instant petition is for issuing direction to the Appellate Court to decide Appeal No. 319 of 2008 expeditiously.
The appeal is stated to have been filed by the father of the petitioner. He died during pendency of the appeal and according to the petitioner he has already applied for substitution.
Having regard to the fact that the appeal is pending since the year 2008, the instant petition is disposed of with direction to the Appellate Court to make serious endeavour to decide the appeal expeditiously, by fixing short dates and without granting unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties.
