Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents.
The writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:-
"(i) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding/directing the respondent no-1 i.e. Appar Ziladhikari (Finance and Revenue) District Maharajganj to decide/dispose of the Case No-3887/2017 (Computerized Case No- D2017054703887) Pramod versus Ram Lakhan under Section 122-C (6) U.P.Z.A. and L.R. Act 1950 read with Rule 115-P U.P.Z.A. and L.R. Rules 1952 and Section 66 U.P. Revenue Code 2006 expeditiously within the period fixed by this Hon'ble Court."
The petitioner is aggrieved on account of pendency of proceedings for cancellation of his allotment of a housing site. The proceedings are stated to be pending since the year 2017 and are stated to have been instituted extremely belatedly.
Under the circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no. 1 i.e. Appar Ziladhikari (Finance and Revenue) District Maharajganj to decide the proceedings as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date a certified copy of this order is filed before him.
