1. Sri Praveen Kumar Misra, Advocate, states that he has no instructions in the matter. No other counsel has appeared to press this writ petition though it has been called in revise. Learned Standing Counsel is present for respondents. In the circumstances, I myself have perused the record.
2. By means of present writ petition, petitioners have sought following reliefs:
“(a) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no. 2 or respondents after finally disposing of the pension application/representation dated 27-12-2000 (Annexure No. 7) and its last reminder dated 31.7.2002 (Annexure no. 13) of the petitioner immediately (as soon as possible) and the payment of pension be made with 18% interest from dated 01-07-1999 upto the date of its payment. It is further prayed that petitioner is also entitled of salary for the period of four months and twelve days, when he rendered his services to the respondent no. 3 after retirement dated 30-06-1999 with 18% interest be paid by the respondents to the petitioner.”
3. I myself have gone through the pleadings, grounds as also reliefs sought and find that petitioners are not able to make out a case so as to justify interference of this Court by granting reliefs, as prayed for.
4. Moreover, it appears that either the cause of action no more survives or the petitioners have lost interest in this matter or it has otherwise become infructuous and, probably for this reason, none is interested to have decided this matter on merits and that is why, counsel for petitioners is absent.
5. Dismissed. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
