Heard learned counsel for the parties.
It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioners that they are holders of a valid residential lease, which has not been cancelled, yet the State respondents under the garb of an order of P.I.L dated 28.8.2017 in P.I.L. no. 38939 of 2017 are proceeding to forcibly evict the petitioners from the plot in dispute.
Sri Rajesh Kumar, learned Standing Counsel submits that there is no material on record to indicate that the respondents have no such intentions, as expressed by the petitioners.
The writ petition is disposed of with the direction that the petitioners shall not be dispossessed from the plots in dispute except in accordance with law.
It is made clear that this Court has not commented on the merits of the claim of the petitioners.
