The petitioner contends that he is not entitled to take a licence for running a saw mill in view of an order passed by the Supreme Court whereby it is directed that no licence was required to be obtained for running a saw mill having less than 3 HP.
In this regard, the petitioner has filed an application dated 02.042018 seeking permission to run a small saw mill for domestic carpentry work having less than 3 HP, which is pending consideration before respondent no.3.
In the light of the aforesaid, the writ petition is disposed of directing respondent no. 3 to consider the petitioner's application and pass appropriate orders within six weeks from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
