By order dated 13.3.2018 in Writ A No. 7648 of 2018 filed by the applicant, this Court directed respondent No. 2 to the writ proceeding to consider the claim of the applicant for promotion in case any person junior to him had already been promoted.
Sri Neeraj Upadhyay, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel, on instructions from opposite party, states that the claim of the applicant was considered in compliance of the direction issued by the writ Court and he having been found suitable, has been granted promotion. The instructions received by learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel in this regard from the authorities have also been placed on record.
Since the applicant has already been promoted, after considering his claim in compliance of order of the writ Court, therefore, no contempt is made out.
The contempt application stands disposed of accordingly.
