Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel appearing for the State respondents and perused the record.
Present petition has been filed with following prayers:-
"(1). to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the order dated 13.02.2020 passed by respondent no. 1 (Annexure No. 4 to this writ petition).
(2). to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no. 1/ Commissioner Basti Mandal, Basti to decide the Revision No. 100/2020, Computerized Case No. C-20201700000100 (Smt. Durpati Versus Smt. Rajeshwari), pending before him, within stipulated period which Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper."
At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he is not pressing his prayer no. 1 of the writ petition.
Accordingly, prayer no. 1 of the writ petition stands rejected as not pressed.
In the facts and circumstances of the case, the present petition is finally disposed of with the direction to the respondent no. 1, Commissioner Basti Mandal, Basti to expedite the hearing of the aforesaid revision and decide the same on its own merit, in accordance with law, expeditiously preferably within a period of four months from the date of production of self- attested copy of this order, which may be verified from the official website of this Court, provided the functioning of the authority concerned is not affected due to any reason related to Covid-19.
With the aforesaid observations/ directions, the present petition is finally disposed of.
