Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents.
This petition has been preferred for the District Magistrate being commanded to extend the area validity of the licence held by the petitioner to the State of Bihar and certain regions in that State. As is evident from Schedule -II of the 2016 Rules, the Licensing Authority for such prayer is the Union Government.
In that view of the matter, no cause arises for issuance of the writs as prayed for.
Accordingly, while this petition is dismissed, it is left open to the petitioner to apply before the competent authority for redressal of his grievances.
