This writ petition has been filed for the expeditious decision of the suit being Suit No. 247 of 2011. It has been informed by Sri Sudhir Mehrotra, the learned Special Counsel for the District Court, that evidence of the plaintiff has been closed and the evidence vis-a-vis defendants was going on and, in fact, no unnecessary adjournments were being granted.
Under such circumstances, it is being directed that the Suit No.
247 of 2011 may proceed in accordance with law and be decided as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order. Adjournment shall be granted only under very pressing circumstances and that too after imposing heavy costs on the party seeking adjournment.
The writ petition is disposed of.
