The petitioner's husband is stated to have unfortunately died while working and discharging COVID related duties at Fatehgarh. The petitioner, the widow of the deceased government servant, claims compensation in terms of the Government Order of 11 April 2020.
Sri Chandan Kumar, learned Standing Counsel has placed on the record instructions received from the Secretary, Department of Revenue in the State Government which are marked as 'X' for the purposes of identification. From those instructions, it is pointed out that all such claims including the one raised by the petitioner, shall be attended to and addressed in light of the Government Order noted above. It is further stated that a final decision in respect of all such claims shall be taken within one month from today and compensation where found due released with expedition immediately thereafter. The statement so made is recorded and accepted.
Accordingly, the writ petition shall stand disposed of in light of the statement noted above.
