The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 & 2 to suitably correct the date of birth of the petitioner in all the connected educational certificates/records as 27.07.1991 with reference to the basic record of the Date of Birth Certificate issued by the Corporation of Chennai instead of the prevailing wrong entry of the Date of Birth as 03.03.1993 and also to correct the spelling of the name of the petitioner as R.Karthik instead of the prevailing wrong spelling in the name as R.Karthick.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has given representation to the respondents as early as on 30.01.2017, however, the same has not yet been considered by the respondents.
3. Mr.S.V.Doraisolaimalai, learned Additional Government Pleader taking notice for the respondents 1 & 2 submitted that the 1st respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation in accordance with law.
4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the Writ Petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.01.2017, and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
