The amount lying with the respondents by way of recovery from the gratuity and other retiral benefits of petitioner will be retained by the respondents. It is, however, clarified that it shall be open to this court to grant interest on the amount of recovery retained by the respondents at the relevant rate of interest prevailing under the Gratuity Act in case the petitioner finally succeeds in the matter.
