Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned AGA for the State- respondents and perused the record.
Instant writ petition seeks quashing of the FIR dated 30.12.2018, registered as Case Crime No. 382 of 2018, under Sections 419, 420, 467, 468, 471 IPC, P.S. Sarai Khwaja, District Jaunpur.
Allegation, in the impugned FIR, which was lodged on the basis of internal departmental enquiry at the level of Block Education Officer, is to the effect that for selection of Shiksha Mitra for the academic session 2004-05, Gram Shiksha Samiti manipulated records to select one Anita. The petitioner, at the relevant point of time, was the Chairman of Gram Siksha Samiti by virtue of holding office as Village Pradhan.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that petitioner is a poor lady and is not literate and, therefore, she is innocent.
Be that as it may, the above plea is a matter of defence and cannot be a ground to seek quashing of the FIR, while the matter is under investigation. As the FIR discloses commission of cognizable offence, no case for interference is made out.
The petiton is dismissed. Petitiner is at liberty to apply for bail.
