Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel representing the respondents.
With the consent of the counsels for the parties, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.
The sole contention of the petitioner is that the application filed by the petitioner before the District Magistrate Ghaziabad on 14.11.2018 for issuance of fire arm licence, is pending and no decision is taken by the District Magistrate, Ghaziabad.
The District Magistrate, Ghaziabad is directed to consider the petitioners application for issuance of fire arm licence and pass a reasoned and speaking order, strictly in accordance with law preferably within a period of one month from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of.
