Petitioner claims to be the senior most Assistant Teacher in L.T. Grade, who is working in 'Janta Intermediate College, Nagra District Ballia'. It is alleged that a post of Lecturer in Hindi has fallen vacant and being the senior most Assistant Teacher, petitioner's claim for promotion is liable to be considered in accordance with law. It is alleged that the relevant records have been submitted by the institution to the District Inspector of Schools, Ballia on 15.3.2017 but the papers have not been forwarded to the Regional Level Committee in terms of Rule-14 of the 'U.P. Secondary Education Services Selection Board Rules, 1998'.
Learned Standing Counsel states that an appropriate decision would be taken by the competent authority, in accordance with law.
In the facts and circumstances, noticed above, this petition stands disposed of, permitting the petitioner to approach respondent no.3, alongwith certified copy of this order within a period of three weeks from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order. The petitioner shall be at liberty to annex all previous communications, sent to the concerned office. The District Inspector of Schools, upon receipt of such material, shall examine the same and forward the claim of petitioner alongwith claim of other eligible persons in terms of Rule-14 of Rules of 1998 to the Joint Director of Education, who shall have the grievance of the petitioner examined by the competent authority within a further period of three months thereafter.
