Heard Sri Kamal Krishna Roy and Sri Charlie Prakash, learned counsel for the petitioners, Sri N.K. Verma, learned A.G.A. appearing for the State and perused the impugned F.I.R. as well as material brought on record.
The relief sought in this petition is for a direction in the nature of mandamus directing the premature release of the petitioners, whose process of release has been kept lingering.
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are languishing in jail and they have filed representation before the competent authority for premature release but the same has yet not been decided by the competent authority.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, if any such representation of the petitioners is pending before competent authority, the same shall be decided within two months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order, in accordance with law.
The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of.
