The present petition has been filed with the following relief:-
"A. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of writ of mandamus directing the District Judge, Jalaun at Orai/Respondent no.3 to decide the Election Petition no.NIL of 2021 (Pinki Gautam vs Gyan Singh and others) before the Respondent no.3 under Section 27(2) of U.P Kshetra Panchayat and Zila Panchayat Act 1961, expeditiously within stipulated period as fixed by this Court."
It is submitted that the petitioner herein has contested the election of member of Zila Panchayat Chatela, Kshetra no.4. The challenge is to the election of respondent no.5. The contention is that the petitioner herein has filed election petition on 28.5.2020 under Section 27(2) of U.P Kshetra Panchayat and Zila Panchayat Act 1961 in a proper manner.
The memo of election petition has been appended as Annexure-'3' to the writ petition.
In view of the above prayer made in the present petition, the same is disposed of with the direction that the Election Tribunal/respondent no.3 shall make an endeavour to decide the election petition within the time schedule provided in the statute i.e 90 days from the date of filing of the petition by giving due notices and opportunity to all concerned.
