By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. Mr.P.Chinnadurai, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
2 The petitioner was visited with disciplinary proceedings which culminated into an order of punishment of reversion from the post of Bill Collector to Record Clerk for a period of five years from 01.02.2011 and after completion of the punishment period, the 3rd respondent, vide proceedings dated 28.04.2016 has passed an order, posting the petitioner as a Bill Collector in the services of the 5th respondent. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that though he is working as Bill Collector from 01.05.2016 in the services of the 5th respondent, the salary due and payable to him, is yet to be paid and in this regard, the petitioner has also submitted a representation dated 29.08.2016 to the 5th respondent and though it was received and acknowledged on 31.08.2016, no orders have been passed and hence, the petitioner came forward to file the present writ petition.
3 Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Chinnadurai, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.
4 Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the 5th respondent to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 29.08.2016 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
