Learned advocate Shri D.M.Devnani seeks time to ascertain as to whether a foreign national or Indian origin holding passport of other country is entitled to adopt Indian child merely by executing adoption-deed under the Hindu Adoption And Maintenance Act, 1956 and whether while taking the child abroad, any special permission is required to be obtained from any Court.
In view of the peculiar facts and circumstances of the case where a foreign passport holder, the adopter, is desirous of obtaining travel document for taking the child along with him away from India to Kenya. At his request matter is kept on 19.01.2012.
