JUDGMENT / ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner for the post of Teacher in English Subject based on the seniority dated 06.04.1998.
2. According to the petitioner, she had completed the Post Graduate and B.Ed., Degrees. The petitioner's seniority date was 06.04.1998 before the Employment Exchange, Perambalur. Now the second respondent issued publication in the various newspapers for the selection of the Teachers for various subjects including the English subject with 475 Nos. of vacancy. The Directorate of Employment Exchange recommended 2178 people for the post of 475 vacancies. But her name was omitted in the selection list. The petitioner along with two persons sent a letter dated 06.05.2010 to the second respondent. As per the publication in the Internet, based on her registration with the Employment Exchange i.e., on 06.04.1998, but the juniors have been called for the certificate verification. But the respondents did not consider her seniority. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's seniority date was 06.04.1998 before the Employment Exchange, the second respondent had issued a paper publication for the selection of the Teachers. Juniors have been called for certificate verification, but her name was omitted for enquiry. Hence, she prays for consideration of the representation.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of this case, there shall be a direction to the petitioner to make her grievance by way of fresh representation to the respondents, within a period of one week from today and on receipt of the same, the respondents shall consider the petitioner's representation and to pass appropriate orders by giving personal opportunity to the petitioner, within a period of three weeks thereafter.
