JUDGMENT / ORDER

Court No. - 7
Case :- MATTERS UNDER ARTICLE 227 No. - 4891 of 2021 Petitioner :- Smt. Nikita Respondent :- Harsh Kumar Dewatwal Counsel for Petitioner :- Amit Kumar Srivastava
Hon'ble Ajit Kumar,J.
Heard learned counsel for the applicant.
By means of this petition under Article 227 of the Constitution, the petitioner has prayed for following relief:-
"(i). direct the learned Principal Judge, Family Court, Gautam Budh Nagar to decide the Divorce Petition No.- 825 of 2021 (Smt. Nikita vs. Harsh Kumar Dewatwal, under Section 13(i)(i-a) of Hindu Marriage Act expeditiously within stipulated period as directed by this Hon'ble Court."
Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner, I find that the petition is of the year 2021 and it is a widely known fact that the State Uttar Pradesh was badly hit initially by the lockdown during the first waive of pandemic Covid-19 and so also subsequently during the 2nd waive of Covid-19 adversely affecting the judicial functions of the courts in the State.
In such above view of the matter, therefore, this Court does not find it feasible to expedite the petition of the year 2021. However, it is expected that the court concerned shall expeditiously dispose of the petition in accordance with law.
The petition is disposed of with the aforesaid observations and directions.
