This petition is filed for issuing a direction to the second respondent not to harass the petitioner.
2. The petitioner is a 79 years old lady, mother of one Samadhana Jeeva. It appears that the petitioner's daughter-in-law has given a complaint and the same was registered for the alleged offences under
Sections 498(A),406 and
506(ii) of IPC as against the entire family of petitioner. It is stated that under the guise of enquiry the petitioner is being harassed by the second respondent Police unnecessarily compelling her to make payments to the petitioner's daughter-in-law, which was agreed by her son. It is in these circumstances the petitioner is constrained to file this petition.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents on instructions submitted that the petitioner's son is absconding and that the charge sheet is not taken on file. Because of the fact that the first accused viz., Samadhana Jeeva, the petitioner's son is absconding, it is stated that to find out the whereabouts of the petitioner's son, the petitioner was enquired and that there was no harassment. He further submitted that the petitioner is a old lady and she will not be harassed.

After filing a charge sheet it is not appropriate on the part of the second respondent to call the petitioner for attending any enquiry in relation to the complaint that was lodged by the petitioner's daughter-in- law. Be that as it may, the contention of the petitioner appears to be true, this court directs the second respondent not to harass the petitioner.
5. With the above observation, the Criminal Original Petition is ordered.
