Heard learned counsel for the applicant as well as learned A.G.A. for the State and perused the record.
The present application under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been filed by the applicant with the prayer to direct the court below to expedite the trial of Session Trial No.1074 of 2017 (State of U.P. vs. Arjun Singh and others), arising out of Case Crime No. 352 of 2017, under Sections 302, 506 I.P.C., P.S. Kankarkhera, District Meerut, pending in the Court of Special Judge Additional Court, Meerut within a stipulated period.
It is contended by learned counsel that the applicant is an accused in the aforesaid session trial who are facing trial since 2017, therefore, the trial court may be directed to expedite the aforesaid trial within a stipulated period.
Considering the submissions made by learned counsel for the applicant and after perusing the record, the trial Court is directed to expedite the aforesaid trial and conclude the same as expeditiously as possible strictly in accordance with law from the date of production of a certified copy of the order, if there is no legal impediment.
With the aforesaid observations, the present application under Section 482 Cr.P.C. application is finally disposed of.
