Sri J.J. Munir, Advocate has put in appearance on behalf of respondent nos. 1 to 7 is taken on record.
The petitioners are ex-employees of Central Reserve Police Force. They have retired from their respective posts. The details of the petitioners posts have been mentioned in paragraph nos. 5 to 11 of the petition. Their common grievance is that they are entitled for pension in terms Government of India, Ministry of Defence letter dated 08.03.2010.
It is stated that the benefit of the said order has not been extended to the petitioners. In this regard, they have made representations for redressal of their grievances. From the record, it appears that the petitioners have served notices under Section 80 C.P.C. upon Chief Manager Canara Bank, CPPC, Chitrapur Mutt Complex, 154th cross Malleswaram, Banglore-560001.
I have heard the learned counsel for the parties.
Having due regard to the facts and circumstances of this case, ends of justice would be subserved by issuing direction to respondent no. 2 to treat the notices of the petitioners under Section 80 C.P.C. dated 06.10.2016 addressed to the Chief Manager Canara Bank, CPPC, Chitrapur Mutt Complex, 154th cross Malleswaram, Banglore-560001 as their representation and may pass appropriate order in accordance with law expeditiously preferably within a period of four months from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
It is made clear that this court has not expressing its opinion on the merits of the case. The authority concerned shall pass order independently, in accordance with law.
