By order dated 5.12.2017 in Criminal Misc. Writ Petition No. 26941 of 2017, this Court directed the Superintendent of Police to ensure fair investigation of Case Crime No. 204/20-
17 and to ensure submission of police report within three months from the date of production of certified copy of the order.
Sri P.K. Giri, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel, on instructions, states that initially a charge sheet was prepared by the police against all accused persons and subsequently, the investigation was also got conducted by other Police Station, which also confirmed the charge sheet submitted earlier. He further states that the police report has been submitted in the Court on 4.9.2018.
This being the position, this Court is not inclined to proceed any further in the instant matter. The contempt application is consigned to record.
