Heard the counsel for the petitioner.
The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner praying for a writ of mandamus directing the Settlement Officer of Consolidation, District Mau i.e. the respondent no.1 to decide the Appeal No.524/569 (Moola Bibi versus Badaruddin) under Section 11(1) of Consolidation of Holdings Act, 1953 pending before the Settlement Officer of Consolidation, Mau.
Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the respondent no.1 is directed to decide the aforesaid appeal within a period of three months from the date a certified copy of this order is produced before him, in case there is no legal impediment in deciding the aforesaid appeal.
With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is disposed of.
